The Webb County Heritage Foundation will host an opening reception for an exhibit of paintings by Encinal artist Janet Eager Krueger on Thursday, February 7 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Villa Antigua Border Heritage Museum, 810 Zaragoza St. in Laredo. “We are so fortunate to have an artist of such mastery in our area, said Margarita Araiza, Executive Director of the Heritage Foundation. “Once again, Janet Krueger presents her work as a true chronicle of our region’s characters, traditions, livelihoods and landscapes all in an explosion of colors that are sometimes breathtaking and other times quietly reverent.” The exhibit includes large and small works by the artist that will be available for sale. The exhibit will be on display throughout the months of February and March at the Villa Antigua Border Heritage Museum. Museum hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Admission is free on Tuesdays.
