The Rio Grande International Study Center is asking for volunteers to help with their annual Día del Río Workday.
A special crew is being recruited to help clean up an area they refer to as “Government Corner”.
This crew will focus on restoration of the Star Fort property (ca. 1848) and the WPA project (ca. 1936), as well as the site of the air strip used by the Wright Brothers.
They will need about 35 people for this crew – roughly 15 brush cutters, and 20 ditch diggers. Please consider joining in this practical effort to SAVE OUR HISTORY!
