The Webb County Heritage Foundation will team up again with the Laredo Film Society to host the second evening of “Movies on the Patio” on Friday, October 8 at the Villa Antigua Border Heritage Museum, 810 Zaragoza St. at 7:00 p.m.

This week’s film will feature the most recent in the Godzilla franchise, “Godzilla vs. Kong” (2021). The film will be presented outdoors on the patio of the Border Heritage Museum.

Last week’s Movie Trivia Game hosted by the Laredo Film Society was a big hit with the audience. This week, LFS will present locally made short horror films beginning at 7 p.m.
Among these short films are: “Fate’s Forest” by Ashuni Perez & Lindsay Lock, a glimpse of a happy couple out for a stroll that happens upon a group of witches. “And So He Follows” by Tyler Dey Ortiz is a look at an overly stressed student who takes a break and tries to meet with a friend for lunch. And, “The KGNS Chronicles” by Ana Kristel Gamboa, in which the production crew from a local TV station parodies some spooky classics.
Admission is free and open to the public, and donations are encouraged. Seating is provided, including some limited table seating. Audience members are invited to dress in costume and participate during the movie with sound effects.
Come enjoy a spooky movie evening under the stars in historic, downtown (haunted) Laredo. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
