Laredo, TX – The Webb County Heritage Foundation will host three evenings of “Movies on the Patio” on consecutive Fridays in October at the Villa Antigua Border Heritage Museum, 810 Zaragoza St. at 7:30 p.m. starting Friday, October 6th. Two of the films are classic horror movies from the 1950s; and one movie from 1995 is a Mel Brooks horror-comedy spoof featuring the great Leslie Nielsen.
The first presentation will be “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” (1956), one of the greatest and most influential sci-fi films of all time. The following Fridays (October 13th and 20th) will feature “Dracula: Dead and Loving It” (1995), and “The Fly” (1958). The films will be presented outdoors on the patio of the Border Heritage Museum. Admission is free and open to the public. Seating is provided. Audience members are invited to dress in costume and participate with sound effects.
An added feature will be limited table seating and movie snacks from the “Bordertown Bistro” concession area. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of the Webb County Heritage Foundation.
Come enjoy a spooky movie evening under the stars in historic, downtown (haunted) Laredo. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
