What is Museum Crew?

Museum Crew is a free family program from the Webb County Heritage Foundation that encourages children to explore museums, learn about local history, and become keepers of stories.

Complete missions, collect rewards, and earn your official Museum Crew Certificate.

Current Missions:

Junior Curator
Explore the Republic of the Rio Grande Museum and discover the stories behind the artifacts.

Junior Archaeologist
Investigate the past at the Border Heritage Museum and learn how archaeologists uncover history.

Fossil Finder
Dig into prehistoric South Texas at the Imaginarium and search for fossils from the distant past.

Panfilo was inspired by a real-life pigeon who visited the Border Heritage Museum.

Almost every day, he would stop by and knock on the museum window when he wanted a snack. He was a beloved friend to the museum staff.

Today, Panfilo continues his adventures as part of Museum Crew. He reminds us that stories can be found in unexpected places and that even the smallest stories are worth discovering. He loves exploring museums, uncovering clues from the past, and learning about the people ans places that make our community awesome.

Panfilo believes every photograph, artifact, building, and family memory has a story worth preserving. As a member of the Museum Crew, you'll help uncover those stories and share them with future generations.
