The WebbCast is a weekly short-form digital series designed to bring local history, culture and community highlights to life in a fun and engaging way. The WebbCast is fully produced by the Webb County Heritage Foundation with funds from Webb County, Texas, City of Laredo, and the Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Foundation. It is written by Director of Operations Andrea Ordoñez, and directed, edited, sound produced, and designed by Edwardo Garcia, Museum Manager. The show averages 25,000 views per episode on social media.

This project was born out of a summer internship collaboration with Mariela Pineda, Alisa Peña, and Valerie Gonzalez. Together, we set out to create something that celebrates the past of Laredo and Webb County while also speaking to its present.

Episodes are available on the Foundation’s social media platforms and will feature rotating themes, from history to food, cultural events, and more.
